About Bishop Wilkins - 
Bishop William Wilkins, Jr. is the last child of his five siblings. He was born into the Straight-Way Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith Inc. in the Bronx, New York, pastored by the late District Elder Hugh Williams, Sr. He attended Sunday School, was a part of the Youth for Christ Choir and remained faithful to that ministry and the Bronx Diocese under the leadership of the late Bishop William G. Fields as a child.  At 10 years old, Bishop Wilkins received Christ into his life and was baptized with the Holy Spirit at the Greater Refuge Temple Church, pastored by the late Apostle William Lee Bonner. At the age of thirteen, the Lord led him to join the church.  At the young age of nineteen, Bishop Wilkins accepted the call into the preaching ministry.

As a young man, who was a servant at heart, he served faithfully in several capacities within his local church as well as the International Church: The Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ (COOLJC). Some of the key roles he has served in are Youth President, member of the Board of Directors for the Greater Refuge Temple Outreach Services Inc., Youth Pastor for over fifteen years and COOLJC International Congress President. Bishop Wilkins also is the founder of the Young Ministers Alliance (YMA) under the International Board of Presbyters for the COOLJC where he established training for young ministers and provided them with peer fellowship opportunities. One of Bishop Wilkins's greatest passions of service was serving his pastor, the late great Bishop William Bonner. Bishop Wilkins served his father in the gospel until the Lord called him from labor to reward in 2015.

Bishop is a lifelong learner and graduated with honors receiving his Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Master of Science in Organizational Management and a master’s in organizational development. Bishop also has certifications with the Church of Christ Bible Institute, the American Association of Christian Counselors, and the Religious Christian Meeting Planners Association. Bishop has worked in the not-for-profit profession for over 25 years, overseeing a variety of social programs for low-income families in the city of New York, as well as for the New York City Board of Education. Some of the recognitions Bishop Wilkins has received are the Outstanding Service from the New York City Episcopal Charities for his work with underprivileged families, The Leadership Awards from the New York Department of Education, the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ Trailblazers Award and the Simeon Foundation Leadership award.  While faithfully serving in the ministry, Bishop Wilkins fell in love with and married his beautiful wife: Sarai Wilkins of Indianapolis, Indiana. Bishop Wilkins has been blessed with three children who are the joy of his life: Mya Fayth, William Blake and Madison Grace.

Currently, Bishop serves as Assistant Pastor of the Greater Refuge Temple and the Chairman of the International Convention Committee of the C.O.O.L.J.C. He is also a member of the United Chaplains of New York State.  Bishop Wilkins strives to live by the word of God and most importantly, is Godly proud to be called a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. Bishop’s passion is preaching and teaching the word of God as well as training leaders today for a purpose driven tomorrow.
